Flying Dog Farm

Howard and Jil Stenn have practiced and promoted intensive food gardening at urban P-Patches, elementary schools, public demonstrations and our own Flying Dog Farm. Howard apprenticed and taught organic horticulture for three years at the UC Santa Cruz Agroecology Program Farm and Garden. In Seattle, Howard created demonstration gardens and trained aides to start WSU-King County Cooperative Extension's Urban Food Gardening Project. Howard and Jil were activist-gardeners in the P-Patch program and at the Tilth Good Shepherd Urban Agriculture Center, and ran a small urban nursery. Howard has designed and installed drip irrigation systems for numerous landscapes, nurseries, small farms and demonstration gardens.
