Cedar Grove Compost Co.

Howard has created marketing materials and provided technical assistance to develop Cedar Grove’s Landscape and Construction Services. He has also conducted product testing and prepared successful regulatory appeals. Howard wrote the “Compost Uses Manual for Landscape Professionals”, and public agency procurement standards; and supervised construction of a growth trials demonstration at the University of Washington.

Garden Grow Co. (Whitney Farms)

Howard helped Garden Grow renew permits for its Oregon composting site, and provided technical guidance for composting over 100,000 tons of agricultural wastes and forest by-products per year. He also provided training and technical support to the sales team; wrote The Dirt newsletter, website and sales materials.
